No more animals will suffer for Australian cosmetics

Great news from Australia where the government has just confirmed that it will honour its pledge to end cosmetics animal testing.

The country’s ban on animal testing of cosmetics products and ingredients will come into force at the end of 2018.  And the use of data about cosmetics that is sourced from animal tests will be outlawed from 1st July 2018.

We took part in government consultations on the ban and welcome Australia as the latest country to end the cruel, unnecessary and outdated practice of cosmetics animal testing.

Thanks to everyone who joined our campaign and helped to make this happen for animals.

We’re now calling on Australia to support our bid for a global ban at the UN.  Sign up to support the campaign for a UN resolution.
