This needless cruelty needs to stop

Thousands of animals are suffering right now in tests which we believe are unreliable and unnecessary

Every year, hundreds of thousands of animals endure the horrors of what we believe are unnecessary 'second species' testing, All testing on animals is wrong. But I think you’ll now agree that second species testing is not only wrong, for a large proportion of it there is already evidence showing this approach is completely pointless.

When initial tests on smaller animals like mice or rats don't produce the information needed to help protect humans, other species like rabbits, dogs or primates, are made to suffer through the same tests.

Not only does this method cause immense suffering to animals, it’s dangerous to humans too. In 2016, a drug trial ‘successfully’ tested on mice, rats, dogs and monkeys resulted in the death of a human volunteer and severe brain damage to four others.

We need to raise our voices against this cruel and - we believe - unnecessary practice. Will you join us?
