The U.S. Election Year is in full swing and occupying much of Congress’ attention. This makes these next few months crucial to bring attention to our priority bills to advance humane science and save animals.
We are fighting for these three key bills:
- Humane and Existing Alternatives in Research and Testing Sciences (HEARTS) Act - to prioritize the use and development of non-animal research and testing methods in projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Companion Animal Release from Experiments (CARE) Act – to ensure that dogs, cats, and rabbits used in laboratories that receive taxpayer funding have an opportunity to be adopted into a loving home.
- Humane Cosmetics Act – to finally ban the use of animal testing for cosmetics and prohibit the sale of new animal tested cosmetics in the United States.
You can help by asking your U.S. Representative to support these important bills using our quick and easy tool.
