Calling on the UN to end decades of animal suffering

Cruelty Free International has joined forces with The Body Shop to launch the Forever Against Animal Testing campaign to end cosmetics testing on animals globally once and for all.

This is the next huge step in our campaign calling on the United Nations to end cosmetics testing on animals for good. We want the UN to adopt an international law that will bring to a close decades of unnecessary animal suffering. And we need you to help us finish the job we started back in the 80s!

Our campaign calls for an international ban on animal testing in cosmetics, on both products and ingredients, everywhere and forever. It is the most ambitious campaign against animal testing ever and you can be part of it.

Please join us and sign the petition calling on the UN to introduce an international law that will finally put an end to the cruelty. The petition can be signed online or at any of The Body Shop’s 3,000 stores across the world.

You can also show your support by spreading awareness on social media. Remember to use the campaign hashtag #ForeverAgainstAnimalTesting on TwitterFacebook and Instagram to raise awareness about the issue.

Michelle Thew, CEO of Cruelty Free International, says: “Because 80% of countries around the world still allow animal testing for cosmetics, a global ban is the only way to truly eliminate animal suffering. We are delighted to join forces with The Body Shop once again to  campaign for a ban that would finally end animal testing forever.”

Jessie Macneil-Brown, Senior Manager of International Campaigns & Corporate Responsibility at The Body Shop, says: “The Body Shop passionately believes that no animal should be harmed in the name of cosmetics and that animal testing on products and ingredients is outdated, cruel and unnecessary. This is why The Body Shop and Cruelty Free International have partnered to deliver the largest and most ambitious campaign ever to seek a global ban on the use of animals to test cosmetic products and ingredients. We are calling on at least 8 million people from every corner of the globe who care about animal welfare to join our cause and sign our petition. It’s time to end animal testing for cosmetics purposes once and for all.  Join us to make it happen.”
