Airline confirms embargo on monkey shipments
Fantastic news! You’ll be pleased to hear that Vietnam Airlines has reaffirmed its commitment to not transport monkeys to laboratories for cruel experiments.
Our investigations team recently revealed that in 2016 Vietnam Airlines had breached its own transport embargo by sending four shipments of monkeys to Russia for use in experiments. But following our appeal to reinstate the embargo, Vietnam Airlines has now confirmed that from 28th April 2017, it has stopped the transport of all monkeys for any purpose.
Thanks to all our supporters who campaigned against the international transport of monkeys for use in experiments. Your support over the years has enabled our investigators to uncover the chain of suffering inflicted on monkeys through trapping, farming and transport to laboratories.
