Brazil a step closer to banning animal testing for cosmetics

We are on the edge of a huge breakthrough that could save many animals

A bill banning animal testing and the sale of cosmetics tested on animals is currently making its way through the Brazilian senate.

The bill was originally proposed in 2014 by Senator Ricardo Izar working closely with our expert team. We’re absolutely delighted to see it moving forward. Next step will be the Economic Affairs Committee, and we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with the progress.

Brazil is one of the biggest cosmetics markets in the world, and a breakthrough here will be a huge success for animals. It would also bring us another step closer to a global end on cruel animal testing for cosmetics.

If you have family or friends in Brazil, please urge them to register on the senate website where there is a public opinion poll on the bill.
